Hiring Trends Marketers Need to Know for 2022
According to Robert Half's latest Salary Guide, 49 percent of employees feel underpaid; this fact does not necessarily bode well for organizations who want to retain top talent.
However, considering 54 percent of marketing managers plan to hire new talent during the second half of 2021, understanding what prospective employees want and need is crucial to hiring and retaining team members that will help companies grow, foster positive company culture, and continually develop new skills in an evolving marketing and media landscape.
Meanwhile, 75 percent of employees also want work remotely at least part of the time. The company found that 66 percent of companies will "offer flexible scheduling after pandemic restrictions are universally lifted" and 88 percent of HR managers reported their company "added new perks as a result of the pandemic."
When it comes to diversity, inclusion, and equality (DEI), 71 percent of employees would leave "a company whose values don't align with their own," although 93 percent are somewhat "satisfied with their company's DEI efforts."
