Brand Activation Legal Webinar: April 2020
This event is over.
For April, Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP will address the use of influencers in marketing campaigns, including addressing the following issues: What legal and regulatory landscape applies to the use of influencers? What might come out of the SEC public comment period on the recent guidance for endorsements? What must an advertiser disclose about its use of influencers? What liability exists for advertisers who use influencers? What lessons can be learned from recent legal and regulatory action taken against influencers and those who employ them? The presenters from Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP are PJ Campbell and Dan Sugarman, Associates of the firm.
Patrick J. (PJ) Campbell, Associate, works on a variety of litigation matters, including high-stakes commercial lawsuits, white collar investigations and advertising disputes. PJ assists with the representation of individuals and entities in white collar criminal matters, regulatory inquiries from U.S. and foreign regulators, multidistrict litigation, and complex civil litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts. His work involves all phases of litigation, including drafting motions and briefs, coordinating discovery, interviewing and preparing witnesses, and trial preparation.
Daniel Sugarman, Associate, works on litigation matters. Previously a summer associate at Kramer Levin, Daniel clerked for the Honorable Barry T. Albin of the New Jersey Supreme Court before returning to the firm. During law school, Daniel was a member of the Consumer Rights Workshop and Workers’ Rights Disability Law Clinic. He also interned with the employment law unit of the New York Legal Assistance Group. Before law school, Daniel worked as an associate producer on several documentary films, including PBS Frontline’s Outlawed in Pakistan, which received a News and Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Research.
