Washington & The States in the Time of COVID-19
Both the federal and state governments have been consumed with the response to coronavirus, and yet many of the issues facing the ad community only have intensified. The virus has raised unique privacy issues and the California Consumer Privacy Act enforcement date comes ever closer, so will this spur Congress to finally act on comprehensive privacy legislation? We’re continuing to respond to the developing CCPA regulations, as well as confronting new ad tax issues in both Maryland and New York state and restrictions on advertising in Michigan. We also are actively responding to challenges to the use of third party cookies.
