II. WELCOME REMARKS AND INTRODUCTIONS (10:00 – 10:20a.m. ET)
III. MEMBER ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION: THE BRIEF (10:20 – 11:00a.m. ET)
The brief: the start of every project, yet sometimes the most challenging part of the project. This is where teams align resources and budget to ensure that the following steps are carried out efficiently. To avoid extra rounds of revision or late requests for funds, the brief should be clear about how in-house teams arrive at the finished product, and how that final deliverable will achieve business goals.
In this interactive roundtable, attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance which will be anonymously posed to the group and answered in-person.
IV. GUARDIAN LIFE INSURANCE: PRIORITIZING WELL-BEING FOR THE CREATIVE WORKFORCE (11:00 – 11:35a.m. ET)
The significant strain on creative resources is felt throughout the industry, especially in-house. When the scope starts to grow, deadlines begin to overlap, resources start to strain, and burnout can settle in. It’s important to put the well-being of the team above the work, which in turn creates a stronger final product. Bonnie Isaac, head of Guardian Life Insurance’s in-house agency, will share her advice for creating a culture that makes creatives feel empowered and cared for.
Speaker:
Bonnie Isaac, Head of Creative and Agency – Guardian Life Insurance
V. BREAK (11:35 – 11:50a.m. ET)
VI. CBRE: THE CREATIVE TALENT PLATFORM (11:50a.m. – 12:25p.m. ET)
With a global creative workforce to manage, TJ McCormick searched for ways to keep his team connected and constantly inspired by each other’s work. Thus, the Creative Talent Platform was born. It’s a space where CBRE’s in-house creative staff can exchange ideas and invite external speakers to deliver inspiring presentations. Learn how TJ built this global network, how many creatives use it, and how you can create a similar feedback loop to improve your creative team’s work.
Speakers:
TJ McCormick, VP Global Head of Creative – CBRE
Kenneth Weaver, Senior Director Creative – CBRE
VII. GOLDMAN SACHS: BEST PRACTICES IN THE CREATIVE BRIEFING PROCESS (12:25 – 1:00p.m. ET)
Learning from her incredible experience leading in-house copy and creative teams, Laurie Goodman will join the meeting to share her best practices in briefing. She will discuss the role and importance of the brief, how to align the brief to business goals, creating internal stakeholder alignment, and questions the creative team should ask before putting pen to paper. Laurie will also offer tips and observations unique to the in-house “client-agency” dynamic during the briefing process.
Speaker:
Laurie Goodman, VP Creative Services, Head of Brand, Marcus US – Goldman Sachs
