Ethics Code FUNdamentals: Best Practices for Reaching Your Intended Audience

We're excited to unveil the new ANA Ethics Code of Marketing Best Practices, a framework of high-level principles, guidelines, resources, and examples of ethical marketing and advertising best practices applicable to all entities engaged in marketing, advertising, and fundraising – shaped by your peers on the Ethics Code Steering Committee. Our vision is to advance an accountable and ethical marketing ecosystem for brand growth through a central Code of Ethics.

Join us as we dive into the Code to provide an overview of what’s included and how to use it. We’ve developed a three-part webinar training series to cover two sections of the Code in each training session.

In this first training session, senior staff from the Center for Ethical Marketing will walk you through the first two sections of the Code:

Advertising and Marketing Offers: Supporting Claims

  • Honesty and Clarity of the Offer
  • Point of Contact for Marketing Preferences
  • Solicitation in the Guise of an Invoice or Governmental Notification
  • Advance Consent and Negative Option Plans
