As California and other states pursue a patchwork of different approaches to data privacy, ANA has been leading the effort to pass a federal law that will protect consumers nationwide while preserving the responsible use of data. Privacy for America, an ANA-backed coalition of companies and trade associations representing a broad cross-section of the economy, has developed a policy framework that is the most substantive proposal backed by business groups to date.
