Nick Rend
Managing Director of Gaming & Esports
NASCAR
Nick Rend is Managing Director of Gaming & Esports at NASCAR where he leads the company’s gaming strategy and creates new content and fan engagement opportunities via Esports, gaming and other virtual platforms. Rend is also responsible for contributing to NASCAR’s metaverse strategy, identifying new ways to expand the company’s brand presence on Web3.
In 2021, Rend spearheaded several gaming initiatives, including a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Jailbreak on Roblox and a partnership with Discord in which NASCAR became the first league to launch on the social community platform. He also oversaw the continued success of the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, which experienced another record-breaking season.
Rend joined NASCAR in January 2021 after spending 13 years with the company from 2005 – 2018 when he worked in Licensing and Consumer Innovation. More recently he’s served as a consultant, providing strategy development and marketing guidance to global sports organizations and technology companies.
