ANA Honors Rising Marketing Stars
Young Executives from Design Pickle, Grant Thornton, Deloitte Digital, and USAA Celebrated at Masters of Marketing Conference
NEW YORK (October 23, 2020) — The ANA (Association of National Advertisers) today recognized the 2020 recipients of its Rising Marketing Star Awards. The four honorees, all age 30 or under, were nominated by senior executives at their companies for having met the following criteria:
- Made valuable contributions to the overall excellence/effectiveness of their marketing organization
- Demonstrated leadership, innovation, creativity, and accountability in executing their marketing responsibilities
- Exemplified skill in integrating marketing disciplines and working with other professionals
- Exhibited knowledge of current issues in advertising and familiarity with the tools marketers are using to reach their audiences
The 2020 Rising Marketing Stars are:
Bryan Doyle
Risk Advisory Marketing Manager
Grant Thornton
Bryan Doyle helps lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns to support priority solutions and critical business issues. He also is responsible for the practice’s brand management, content marketing, digital marketing, sales enablement, advertising, and sponsorships. Since joining Grant Thornton in 2016, he has helped play an integral role in driving a distinctive and disruptive presence for the practice.
Jessica Guffey
Strategic Partnerships
Design Pickle
Jessica Guffey directs key relationships and media efforts for Design Pickle. She is a strategic partnerships professional who also specializes in events and media relations. With a degree in Communication Sciences from Northwestern University, she found her niche in partnerships working for the Chicago Cubs. From there, she landed at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions, where she led special projects and activations for partners like Shell-Pennzoil and General Motors.
Nada Khan
Strategist
Deloitte Digital’s Heat
Nada Khan is a data-driven strategist with a passion to transform numbers into human insights. Having worked with a variety of health care, financial, and retail brands, she understands changing markets and is able to leverage new models of thinking to power strategies rooted in the human experience. Skilled in data analytics, consumer research, brand strategy, and communications strategy, she is determined to uncover new ways to connect with consumers.
Nick Wendel
Associate Creative Director/Creative Services
USAA
Nick Wendel has been a part of USAA’s internal creative agency for nearly five years. He’s written copy for everything from TV to social for campaigns like the Army-Navy Game sponsorship, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day. Most recently, he worked on USAA’s national COVID messaging.
“Honoring the Rising Marketing Stars each year is one of the most important things the ANA can do,” said ANA CEO Bob Liodice. “These awards are an investment in the future of marketing, and we look forward to seeing the contributions these remarkable young executives will make to our industry in the coming years.”
The four recipients were recognized at the 2020 ANA Masters of Marketing Week, a virtual event being held on line this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Rising Marketing Star program was established in 2010 to celebrate the ANA’s 100th anniversary. It has become an annual recognition program at the Masters of Marketing Conference. Nominations for the 2021 award will be solicited in early summer of 2021.
