Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement
The Nonprofit Federation Awards' Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award recognizes outstanding career accomplishments by a fundraising professional. The award is named for Max Hart, the long-time director of fundraising at the DAV. A United States Army veteran and transplant from the for-profit sector, Hart was a steadfast advocate, supporter, and champion of professionalism in his role at the DAV and within the entire nonprofit direct marketing community. Each recipient of the Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award is determined based on the following criteria:
- is a professional marketer or fundraiser with either a nonprofit organization or a service provider.
- is a respected authority on marketing and fundraising practices.
- has demonstrated achievement, innovation, and leadership in the marketing community throughout his or her career.
- inclusive staffing and management practices exhibit the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- serves as a source of inspiration and encouragement to others by exemplifying the highest standards in his or her work.
- is committed to the professional development of others through shared knowledge and mentorship.
Nominations are now closed. We look forward to celebrating the 2025 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award recipient during the 2025 ANA Nonprofit Conference, February 25-27 at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Md. Learn more and register.
“Max Hart is an iconic symbol of good: family, country, people, the nonprofit community, and dedication to helping others. For me, receiving the award that bears his name was a high honor that recognizes not just me but also the hundreds of people who help me serve charities all across America, so that they can do even more to help people all around the world. We are grateful for the award, but even more grateful for the opportunity to serve.”
