Rising Marketing Stars Honored By ANA
Recipients from Western Union, Facebook, JPMorgan Chase, and Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. Honored at Masters of Marketing Conference
ORLANDO (Oct. 5, 2017) — The ANA (Association of National Advertisers) recognized the 2017 recipients of its Rising Marketing Star Award today. The four honorees, all age 30 or under, were nominated by senior executives at their companies for having met the following rigorous criteria:
- Made valuable contributions to the overall excellence/effectiveness of their marketing organization
- Demonstrated leadership, innovation, creativity, and accountability in executing their marketing responsibilities
- Exemplified skill in integrating marketing disciplines and working with other professionals
- Exhibited knowledge of current issues in advertising and familiarity with the tools marketers are using to reach their audiences
The 2017 Rising Marketing Stars are:
Sarah Ingle
Digital Marketing Manager
Western Union
After completing her master's at Clemson University at age 21, Sarah Ingle joined Western Union to lead the company's social media initiative. Her strategic overhaul of the program achieved dramatic results, and earned respected awards and Facebook Case Study placement. Management soon moved the company's search function under Ingle's leadership, where she increased transactions by 163 percent and decreased costs by 25 percent. Outside the office, her philanthropic work was lauded by WU CEO Hikmet Ersek, who recently recognized Ingle's work as a volunteer and social influencer, saying she brings "hope to hundreds of thousands of children" and is "a role model for all of us."
Melissa Oppenheim Lano
Lead, Design & Launch, Creative Shop

Melissa Oppenheim Lano leads the Design & Launch team on Facebook's Creative Shop, which is at the center of developing and deploying ideas, programs, and activations for the creative community at a global scale. Based in New York City, she manages a team of designers, program managers, and filmmakers who explore the creative potential of Facebook's and Instagram's advertising with creative agencies, brands, and partners around the world. She also co-leads Facebook's Women's Group in New York City, which is comprised of over 1,200 women from diverse backgrounds across the company. Lano stewards the company's New York Artist Forum, curating employee art exhibits in the office.
Amanda Diaz
Vice President
JPMorgan Chase
At JPMorgan Chase, Amanda Diaz manages client events for the Chase for Business brand, ranging from small, interactive workshops to larger full-day conferences. In these efforts she plays an integral role from conceptual stages through execution. She has been with JPMC for 11 years and has held several positions across the company, starting as an intern during her undergraduate years.
Kellye Lopez
Senior Manager, Digital & Social Media
Mike's Hard Lemonade Co.
Kellye Lopez is a creative marketer, content strategist and tech nerd. Since joining Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. two years ago, she has led digital and social media initiatives for marketing programs across the company's brand portfolio. She graduated from Northwestern University in 2011, specializing in integrated marketing communication, and considers new product innovation, traveling, cultural immersion, bar trivia, and memes among her myriad of interests.
"Great talent is the heart and soul of the marketing industry, and these four honorees represent the best and the brightest of today's young executives," said Bob Liodice, CEO of the ANA. "They've all made substantive, measurable contributions to their companies and the ANA is proud and honored to congratulate them on their achievements."
The four recipients were recognized in front of more than 2,600 attendees at the 2017 ANA Masters of Marketing Conference, currently being held at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, Fla.
The Rising Marketing Star program was enacted in 2010 to celebrate the ANA's 100th anniversary. It has become an annual recognition program at the Masters of Marketing Conference. Nominations for the 2018 award will be solicited in early summer of 2018.
