I. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS (11:00 – 11:15AM ET)
We will popcorn around the room for introductions (name, pronouns, title, company). We'll take this time to share great advertising we've seen and your own work, and answer any questions you may have.
II. CITI: CHOSEN NAME (11:15AM – 12:00PM ET)
Citi's mission of enabling growth and progress for all includes growth and progress for transgender and non-binary people, too. As part of their commitment to helping drive an equitable and inclusive culture, they developed a new feature that enables trans and non-binary customers to use the name that reflects who they truly are – even if that name is different than their legal name. Citi will discuss the insights that ignited this new feature, the pitfalls and triumphs of bringing it to life both on the backend and in marketing, the role of partnerships in getting this groundbreaking work across the finish line, and the unique collaboration between internal and external agency teams to ensure real representation in-front of and behind the camera.
Speaker:
Peter R. Viento, Director, Head of Creative - Citi
Laura Satterly, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing Integration – Citi
III. BREAK (12:00 – 12:15PM ET)
IV. SUCCESSFUL LGBTQ OUTREACH STRATEGIES ARE BUILT ON RESEARCH (12:15 – 1:00PM ET)
This interactive discussion will provide both "newbies" to the LGBTQ market, and longtime LGBTQ communications specialists, with an overview of the market today. The session focuses on the recent 16th Annual LGBTQ Community Survey (n=15,000 LGBTQ Americans), as well advertising and marketing best practices to reach and serve this important segment. The primary goal of the discussion is to provide marketers and brands with a foundation not only to understand the LGBTQ segment, but also to obtain practical insights to connect with to them authentically and effectively.
