I. HHS LITIGATION UPDATE (10:15 – 10:45 am)
ANA and three of our prescription drug company members (Merck, Eli Lilly, and Amgen) recently filed a lawsuit in federal court to stop a rule from the Department of Health and Human Services to require the list, or wholesale, price of drugs to be included in television ads. Bob Corn-Revere, who is representing ANA in the suit, will provide an update of where things stand.

II. ANA GOVERNMENT RELATIONS UPDATE (10:45 – 11:45 am)
Privacy is ANA’s number one advocacy issue in 2019. We will discuss our ongoing efforts on the federal level through Privacy for America, as well as cover the large number of state privacy bills that have been introduced this year. We will also have an in-depth discussion on provisions in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) related to “privacy preferences” and tools available for advertisers that receive a “do not sell my personal information” request.

III. SAG-AFTRA UPDATE (11:45 am – 12:15 pm)
Stacy Marcus, the Chief Negotiator for The Joint Policy Committee, LLC will provide an update of what’s happened between the industry and the union since the negotiations over the new contract concluded.

IV. TRUST CONSORTIUM UPDATE (1:00 – 1:30 pm)
In March, ANA has established the Trust Consortium, the mission of which is to restore trust in the marketing ecosystem through transparency, integrity, and growth. The consortium held a highly successful Trust Summit in May, and Doug Wood will discuss the next steps in rebuilding the trust through the supply chain.
