As we increasingly look to companies for leadership, how can brands design for the future as we navigate a collective social trauma? In this talk, Alain Sylvain, founder and CEO of Sylvain Labs, will dive into the psychology of shared trauma in this moment and, as a result, what consumers are really craving from brands as we collectively recover from it.

IV. TELEFLORA: WHEN YOU PIVOT (AND PIROUETTE) DURING A PANDEMIC (12:15 – 1:00pm ET)
During mid-March 2020, the Wonderful Agency was set to begin production for their well-planned and developed Mother's Day campaign ad for Teleflora. And then the entire state of California entered quarantine, causing production to shut down. With a global pandemic at-hand, a very short timeline, and limited production opportunity, the agency and client joined forces to quickly pivot and collaborate on a timely and topical ad that "celebrated" motherhood during the pandemic. The ad, which was pieced together with a small budget, limited time, UGC-content, and a lot of resourcefulness (and heart) went on to become one of Teleflora's most successful holiday campaigns.
