ANA Welcomes Entries for 14th Annual Multicultural Excellence Awards

NEW YORK (May 30, 2014) – The ANA (Association of National Advertisers) is now accepting entries for its 14th annual Multicultural Excellence Awards. The awards recognize marketers and their agencies for their work in producing outstanding multicultural advertising campaigns.

Winners will be announced at the ANA’s Multicultural Marketing & Diversity Conference, November 9-11 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Entry criteria:

For a campaign to be eligible, it must have appeared between June 2013 and June 2014. ANA member and nonmember companies, or agencies and media companies submitting on behalf of their clients may enter the awards. Winners will be chosen based on the creativity of the campaign and relevancy to the targeted segment. The campaign must demonstrate quantifiable business results across either Digital Marketing and Media, Outdoor, Print, Radio or TV. This year’s categories include:

  • African-American
  • Asian
  • Hispanic
  • LGBT
  • People with Disabilities (new)
  • Total Market (new)

Companies and agencies are encouraged to submit multiple entries within a category or across multiple categories. In addition to agencies, media companies are welcome to submit on behalf of their clients. This year, entrants in all categories can enter the significant results category. For additional rules, fees, and submission guidelines, interested parties can go to www.ana.net/awards. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2014.

Bob Liodice, president and CEO of the ANA commented, “Multicultural marketing is increasingly integrated in mainstream marketing and ANA’s Multicultural Excellence Awards celebrate the most creatively outstanding and effective work produced in African-American, Asian, Hispanic and LGBT marketing.”

A portion of the proceeds collected from the awards submission fees fund scholarships for high-potential multicultural students planning to pursue careers in advertising and marketing.

The Multicultural Excellence Awards, initiated by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) in 2001, recognizes the efforts of ANA member companies that have resulted in outstanding multicultural advertising campaigns.
