Richard Zackon began his media career at Doyle Dane Bernbach Advertising in 1973 and has since worked on both the buy and sales side of media. He has also been a researcher, educator, and executive coach. In 2005 Mr. Zackon consulted with Nielsen in the creation of the Council for Research Excellence, a think tank of Nielsen clients committed to improving audience measurement. CRE has become a model for subsequent collaborative industry efforts. Mr. Zackson teaches a program he designed at NYU to train the next generation of audience researchers. In 2016 he will begin teaching a new course on advanced audience analytics. He recently created Audience Patterns LLC, a consultancy to apply emerging analytic techniques. He holds degrees from Yale, Stanford, and Fordham School of Law.
